Hi my name is Mikey Snee, Ive just finished school this year and all i have wanted to do for years is tattooing! For the past month ive been working with FCI tattoos in kilsyth but the shop is too far to travel to each morning as i live in Glasgow (trains/buses do not match opening hours) I was wondering if there is any apprentice positions open at your shop? I know they are far and few between, but im really determined, talented and ready to work! I know how hard i will need to graft throughout the apprenticeship having done it for the past month. Be it cleaning, handling customers and drawing constantly. Not only do i know of the hard work, i know about payment and i am totally willing to work for free. Hey, this is David, tattooist/owner of Archangel 1608.
There are more than a few questions on here regarding getting tattooed if you are younger than 18.This is against the law (Tattooing of Minors Act 1969). Anyone tattooing an underage person is risking a £1000 fine, confiscation of equipment AND time in jail.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PARENTAL CONSENT!
Anyone telling you there is, is only after your money. If theyre not bothered about the law, they will not be bothered about the standard of their work (so youll get a ****e tattoo) or the hygiene of their shop (so there is a real risk of infection, Hepatitis, AIDS, Hiv, etc)
I realise not everyone reading this will pay attention, but hopefully some will, and be able to make a mature decision. Tattoos are for life, not when youre a kid! |

Impressive website. Ive been to you before, remember the wee Angel tat, blackened shark and greening of a celtic band. If so, thats me.
Ive been meaning to come in for ages as I have a couple of ideas, including one based on a couple of bits of art work on a tracing of our 6 year olds hand that Id like you to try to make something of. It might just look kinda cool, but we shall see. These ideas can take time to grow. Ill try to drop in next week as Im off Monday to Wednesday.
